Frequently asked questions (Pollux Netherlands)

How do I register with Pollux?

You can make an appointment with one of our employees Mondays till Fridays between 09:00 am and 17:00 pm. They will plan an interview with you and complete the enrollment. You can also enroll digitally. Complete the registration form and send us your CV. Then we will contact you.

What happens after registration?

Within the registration, we are informed of your work experience,  any qualifications and of course your wishes. Next, we will see if there is an appropriate job available. Once we have found a suitable job, we will contact you to discuss it. If you are interested in the job we will first invite you for a personal interview. In some cases, there is also a personal interview with the client. When it appears that there is a match, further arrangements will be made.

Where am I going to work?

Depending on your education and training, work experience, personal wishes, goals and ambitions, you will be employed at the company where you can actually make the difference. With this information we determine which job suits you best.

What terms of employment should I take into account?

Every employee of Pollux is entitled to a temporary employment contract with market-based working conditions. Before you get started, we will first determine which CAO you will be engaged to.

Which CAO applies to you depends on the client where you are going to work for. In addition, you will weekly build holiday pay and hours for holiday breaks.

How much will I earn?

How much you are going to earn depends on multiple factors. Of course, the kind of work you are going to do, the experience you gained with any previous functions and also your age is a factor. Pollux is a member of the NBBU. From day one, the NBBU CAO uses the wage applicable in the particular sector. This prevents inequalities in the workplace between permanent employees and temporary workers.

When will I be paid and can I access my payslip?

The salary will be paid every 4 weeks on Friday. Depending on your bank, your pay will be deposited into your bank account on the same Friday or the following Monday.

Payslips and annual reports can be found in our flexportal. As soon as you join us, you will receive login information. We will also sent you an e-mail with all the ifnormation you need to know before you are going to start. If you still have questions after reading the mail, you can always contact us.

How is my health insurance going to be arranged during my work at Pollux?

Everyone living in the Netherlands is obligated to be insured against health expenses. Pollux offers a collective health insurance for its international temporary workers. All basic provisions are included in this insurance. You are not obliged to engage this Pollux insurance, you can also arrange your own insurance. However, you should consult Pollux with the existing insurance policy.

Are there any training opportunities?

We give high priority to the development of our employees. That’s why we offer various (practical) courses. All this to grow on your personal level.

When do I receive outstanding payment after the last day of the job?

If, over a period of 6 weeks, there was no right to actual wage, the outstanding payments will be automatically paid out.

Your last payday week is week  no. 40. The payroll and net earnings will be received in week no. 41. No pay will be made during week 41 through 46. In settlement week no. 47, the unpaid reservations will be processed. The payroll and the payment of the net earnings will be received in week 48.
